The Gathering 2013 Millstreet

The Gathering will be the biggest tourism initiative in Ireland in 2013. It will be a year long programme centred on festivals and events, highlighting the best Ireland has to offer. The main aim is to increase number of visitors to Ireland to by 300,000 in 2013. It will be a real opportunity for the public to contribute to Ireland’s renewal and economic growth.

Local communities are encouraged to support The Gathering in their own areas and offer up suggestions as to what type of events & activities can be organised.
These will be devised and organised by international, national, and locally based individuals, organisations and community groups.

The message is "Come and get involved".  The Gathering is something that everyone can be a part of.
The aim is to involve every Parish, Sports Club, Organisation - anywhere that people come together.

It is hoped that the Gathering will bring in extra revenue, jobs and growth to Ireland, for local communities, towns, cities and the whole of ireland.

Be a part of it, look out for local or national meetings being held, go along and submit your suggestions and ideas!
